Project Details
The scope of the Partnership involves the design, financing, setting in operation, maintenance
and facility management of an Integrated Telematics System for providing information to the users
of ETHEL (Thermal Bus Company) and ILPAP (Electric Buses of the Athens and Piraeus Region) and
managing their fleet of vehicles. The duration of the Partnership is 12 years. Contracting
Authority of this project is "Athens Urban Transport Organization (OASA) S.A."
This PPP project is part of the strategic targets of "Athens Urban Transport Organization" and
aims to solve a great number of problems arising from the existing system, upgrading the quality of
the civil transport, the working conditions of the staff involved and the services provided to the
users of ETHEL and ILPAP means of transport.
The indicative estimated cost (NPV) of the availability payments that will be made by the
Contracting Authority to the private partner that will undertake the project amounts to 52 million
euros, plus VAT.
The final cost to be paid by the Greek State will be determined, upon the conclusion of the
contract award procedure.
