The scope of the project involves the design, financing, construction, maintenance, facility management (security, cleaning), insurance and exploitation of the new building infrastructure of International Hellenic University via a PPP scheme. The duration of the Partnership is 40 years. Contracting Authority of the Project is the Hellenic Public Real Estate Corporation.

The implementation of this Partnership contributes to the development of universities? infrastructure of international prestige that, combined with the educational project provided, will be addressed to the European and World market of educational services, the development of students? residences for the accommodation needs of the students of the International Hellenic University, the implementation of sports facilities for the students, the creation of new working places, along with the provision of high quality maintenance and operation services of the building infrastructure at a lower cost.

It is underlined that the planning of the educational policy along with the research and teaching activity, exclusively belongs to the International Hellenic University.

The anticipated indicative cost of this PPP project amounts to 213 million euros (NPV), plus VAT. The heavy maintenance and insurance of the buildings are not included in this figure, and are estimated up to 20% of the total budget of the project. The final cost to be paid by the Greek State will be determined, upon the conclusion of the contract award procedure.

This partnership appears as partially repaid. The Private Partner will be granted the right to exploit the students? residence halls and collect the relative rental.
